NEW Passport eReaders!

What are Expand eBooks?

A collection of leveled Spanish, French, and German interactive e-readers that is now available to you and your students! Students have a new Expand section that includes all e-readers for every level of the program they have access to. Teachers can review all e-readers associated with their language program in Resources. e-Readers with black covers have synchronized audio and interactive activities for comprehension, vocabulary, and grammar. Many of the other e-readers also have audio and printable activities. All eBooks allow for note-taking, highlighting, and bookmarking. Increase reading in your language classroom with these exciting new resources!

Let’s take a closer look.

Here is our ¡Qué chévere! program and as you can see, there are several eReaders. These are automatically populated within the students account, the teacher does not need to provide access. Also, some of the eReaders are labeled with a number that corresponds with the level they should be used in our ¡Qué chévere! program.

Another feature you may notice is the audio icon to the left of the indicated level. The audio feature can be accessed by opening the book and selecting the navigation tools at the bottom of the screen. With the navigation tools open, there will be an audio icon like the one below.

After clicking on the Read Aloud or Audio Album, a dialog box will appear allowing you the options to stop, pause, skip and adjust the speed rate.

As you and your students navigate through EMC’s eReaders, you will see that they are packed with communicative dialogs and activities and a collection of songs for mastering vocabulary, grammar and culture. These are designed for use both in the classroom and as an independent study.
